Lemuel grew up in Detroit, Michigan surrounded by television and film production, thanks to the fact that his parents owned and operated three television stations in that city.
He moved to L.A. and landed his first job working on the Emmy Award-winning reality series, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

By the time he was 22, he had a first look deal with BET Networks, producing for several series, including The Mo’nique Show and The Family Crews, and creating and executive producing the docu-series, Vindicated.

In the last several years, Lemuel has produced for WeTV’s hit show, Mary Mary, executive produced BET’s The Sheards, co-created and executive produced a pilot for Bravo, The Lewis Family, and a pilot for BET called Hip-Hop Sisters.

As president and CEO of his own company, L. Plummer Media, Lemuel has co-created and executive produced five of the NBC-owned Oxygen Network’s biggest hit series, Preachers of L.A. (Season One), Preachers of L.A. (Season Two), Preachers of Detroit, and Preachers of Atlanta, as well as Living With Funny, featuring Brandon T. Jackson, DeRay Davis, Michael Blackson, Adam Hunter, and Erik Rivera. Living With Funny is scheduled to air on Oxygen Network, Tuesday, April 12th at 9/8c.

Lemuel has most recently executive produced the popular series, #The Westbrooks, for BET, and is currently in production on a new docu-series for that network, Music Moguls, featuring Snoop Dogg, Birdman, Jermaine Dupri, and Damon Dash. Music Moguls is scheduled to air, Tuesday, June 28th 10/9c.

In the meantime, Lemuel is currently in various stages of production on a number of non-scripted programs and film projects for multiple major networks and studios.
